Explore Stream
In the Explore Stream, Coolamon College delivers
distance education topics that satisfy requirements of the Adelaide
College of Divinity (ACD) CMin award programme,
which provides nationally recognised accreditation within the Vocational
Education and Training (VET) sector. The VET Sector focus is on
workplace training, assessed by the achieving of competencies in
designated learning outcomes.
Certificate IV in Ministry / Diploma
in Pastoral Ministry
The Certificate IV in Ministry / Diploma in Pastoral Ministry is
a suite of awards within which study may be undertaken in one of
several focus areas.
Admission to the Certificate program does not require any previous
academic qualification; however, intending students are encouraged
to confer with the Dean of Students before enrolling.
Admission to the Diploma in Pastoral Ministry requires completion
of the requirements for the Certificate IV in Ministry or equivalent.

The Deepen
Stream
In the Deepen Stream, Coolamon College delivers topics
for distance education within a variety of awards as part of the Higher
Education Sector. Students achieve either ACD or Flinders University
(FU) Awards by completing the full list of topics required not all
of which are currently available in distance mode. All topics accredited
within the various awards, whether or not the award is sought, can
be taken individually. All Australian citizens (and those with permanent
or humanitarian visas) enrolled in the ACD or Flinders award programmes
are eligible to apply for Commonwealth loan assistance (FEE-HELP [ACD]
/ HECS-HELP [FU]). Adelaide

The degree of Bachelor of Ministry (ACD)
The degree requires you to complete successfully 108 units.
There are three fields of study: Biblical Studies, Historical and
Systematic Theological Studies, and Pastoral Studies.

The degree of Master of Ministry (ACD)
The degree is offered as a four-year part-time course comprising
72 units.
There are two fields of study: Ministry and Pastoral Counselling.

Flinders
University Awards
The degree of Bachelor of Theology (Flinders University)
The Bachelor of Theology degree through Flinders University requires
you to complete successfully topics totalling 144 units value.
There are three fields of study: Biblical Studies, Historical and
Systematic Theological Studies, and Pastoral Studies. Students may
also complete topics in other disciplines.
Students seeking this award need to apply through SATAC (South
Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre) << please provide hyperlink
here to www.satac.edu.au >> in the year prior to the commencement
of studying for the award, supplying all necessary documentation.
SATAC processes applications for many of the courses offered by
universities in South Australia.

Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies (GradCertThSt)
Graduate Diploma in Theological Studies (GradDipThSt)
Master in Theological Studies (MThSt)
These are ‘nested’ coursework awards, designed to
lead from one to another in sequence. Various entry and exit points
are possible. Students who gain a MThSt may gain entry into the
Master of Theology (MTh) program.

SCD Awards
No new students are being admitted into the Sydney College of Divinity
(SCD) Awards for which Coolamon College delivers distance education.
Continuing students are encouraged to consult the SCD website for
